1. Why should I get my water tested?
Water is known as the universal solvent. It will dissolve and carry almost any contaminates. It is only through accurate testing that you will know what is in your water.
2. Why do I need a water treatment system?
Water conditioner and treatment systems are used to remove minerals and biological contaminants. Systems also can extend the life of water using appliances, such as dishwashers and washing machines. They can save time and money on cleaning your home. Another advantage is that both your skin and hair will become soft and smooth.
3. Is it safe to drink softened water?
In our opinion, yes, we would never sell a product that we feel could be detrimental to anyone’s health. However, if you have any questions regarding sodium for health reasons, you should contact your health professional.
4. Where in my home does my water treatment system go?
Most systems can be installed anywhere in your home or pump house. The only requirements that we have are that the space is heated and has a floor drain.
5. Do all softeners use salt?
Basically, yes, however, there are alternatives to sodium chloride. The most often used alternative is potassium. These chlorides are used to clean the resins in your softener.
6. How often should I change my filter?
Filters should be changed approximately every 6 months to 1 year. This depends on the different sediments that are in your water. A good rule to follow is that if you are experiencing reduced flow and pressure to your house faucets you should check and change your filter.
7. What size filter do I need?
Filter size depends on type of sediments in your water, usage and demand. Please let us test your water, we can then tell you the proper size of filter that you should be using.
