Abandoning Wells

Leaving your well in a state of disrepair can lead to various problems; namely, contamination of groundwater with animal waste or harmful chemicals which may render it unusable. Our team of experts can provide you with the guidance you require when it comes to abandoning a water well in a safe and legal way.

What You Should Know About Decommissioning a Well

There are several factors you should be aware of before you can decommission a water well, such as the type of well it is, its depth, if there is a well log available, etc.

The process also requires a a permit from the Department of Ecology always with a fee of $50.00. A licensed well driller is also required to legally decommission any well—that's where we come in.

Meeting Regulations

We'll take you through the process and make sure the necessary regulations are met when it comes to decommissioning your well so that the groundwater is left in good condition and you won't be held liable for any damage to the water supply.
